L-M-F-A-O, Rock the Beat & Rock the Show !

I'm a bit late to hop on the LMFAO boat, but hey; at least I got on, right? My roommate, a big fan of the group LMFAO, first introduced me to this new type of music that I've never heard before.

The group's members have a crazy sense of style, and with names like Redfoo and Skyblu, they're bound to grab your attention. I always wondered why someone would choose Internet lingo as a name for their group. Turns out that the name LMFAO, which consequently means Laughing My F****** Ass Off, came from a conversation that one of the group members had with their grandmother.

Anyways, contrary to what I said in my post before, these two go all out. And when I say all out, I mean there is not one thing that they are afraid to put in their songs. On their CD, entitled Party Rock, the track listing includes songs like, "I'm in Miami Bitch", "I Am Not a Whore", and "Shots".

I'd have to say, that this is the only group I'd allow to get away with vulgar lyrics and that is simply because they have beats that would make anybody--regardless of what your favourite genre is--want to get up and dance.

Take a listen for yourself; tell me what you think!

Oldies !

Last night, I recently came across this old song with Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle and it brought back memories of when I was smaller (well, memories of Aladdin).

My parent's were into this kind of romantic music, and their tastes have definitely passed down to me. Bryson sings with a unique voice that differs so much from the sounds of today's male singers.

It is definetly one of my favourite songs that I haven't heard in a while, and also the most played song on my iTunes.

Songs like these are timeless and classic compared to music that demeans women, talks about violent sex, drugs and living life just to get money.

You must admit, it is a beautiful song sung in soft subdued tones by this amazing duo.
